Make a Difference, UMC at Milltown
Administrative CommitteesThe Committee on Nominations and Leadership is a group of members at UMC at Milltown who are devoted to identifying, fostering and monitoring Christian spiritual leadership within our church. This is done by guiding and nurturing spiritual leaders within the church so that the mission can be carried out.
The Committee on Staff-Parish Relations is a group of members at UMC at Milltown who act as the support system to the staff in our church. Not only do they handle all human resource and hiring in the church, they are relied upon to make the best decisions for staff. Their goal is to help all staff recognize their gifts and support leadership. More specifically, they provide encouragement, support and respect to the pastor, staff and their families while promoting unity within the church.
The Board of Trustees is a group of members at UMC at Milltown who handle anything related to the property of the church. This includes improvements, large purchases, investments, etc.
The Finance Committee is a group of members at UMC at Milltown who act as the church Accounting Department. They record all of the Contributions, mail out statements, and pay all of the church's bills. In addition to this, they plan the yearly Consecration Sundays, help the committees prepare their annual budgets, and prepare various end of year reports for the District and Conference.
Membership Committee The Membership committee organizes events and activities that foster harmony and a feeling of belonging. In order to care for current members and others at the United Methodist Church at Milltown, the Membership Committee dedicates their time to create opportunities of -- genuine connections with genuine people.
United Methodist WomenUnited Methodist Women is a community of women who nurture and encourage one another in their spiritual growth, personal leadership and transformation.
The organized unit of United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose purpose is:
- To know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ.
- To develop a creative supportive fellowship.
- To expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.
Any women can come to our meetings and all are welcome to become a member.
